Hi!

Welcome to the 49 for 49 blog. Check out the kindness projects we've done to honor the Pulse shooting victims.

For Angel L. Candelario-Padro, we visited Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children to donate boxes of toys and art supplies for hospitalized children. We had assembled the boxes with friends a few weeks before as part of Project Giving Kids and The Jared Box Project

PGK was founded by our friend Molly Yuska, who started the group to help connect kids with opportunities to give back. The website makes it easy to choose a cause, decide how much time you have a where you'd like to volunteer.

The Jared Box Project is a great example of something kids can do together at home. This was our family's first project as part of PGK's Summer Kindness Challenge. But when Pulse shooting happened, our family decided to expand it to 49 projects.

Angel was a student who was excited about starting a career as an ophthalmic technician. We hope this gesture honors his memory ... and that the Jared boxes bring smiles to some sweet kids at APH!
