Jamoldroy Justice and Anthony Laureanodisla
One of the things we love most about living in Central Florida is its vibrant arts community. From downtown Orlando's public art to world-renown sidewalk and fringe art festivals to our many museums ... all so different and creatively enriching!
The closest for us is the Maitland Art and History Center, a wonderful place for experiencing art, learning to make your own and discovering our town's history. The kids have enjoyed their summer art camps and we love their Culture Pop events.
So our latest kindness project was two-fold for this local treasure. We started by cleaning tables one Saturday morning after their awesome summer art camp program came to a close. As we scrubbed the "creativity" off their folding tables, we made lots of Karate Kid jokes and whistled while we worked.
A few weeks later, the kids and I weeded the herb garden at the Waterhouse Residence Museum. The garden shows visitors how the Waterhouse family, and others like them, used herbs in Victorian times. We were able to get it cleaned up pretty well! And the aloe even soothes a couple of our scrapes.
These were for Jamoldroy Justice, whose friends describe him as "a beautiful person, full of life and energy," and Anthony Luis Laureanodisla, who loved to dance.
