Hi!

Welcome to the 49 for 49 blog. Check out the kindness projects we've done to honor the Pulse shooting victims.

With this kindness opportunity, we wanted to bring comfort and help to the people of Baton Rouge, who have suffered so much in recent months. We got in touch with our friend Lynn who is principal of Redemptorist St. Gerard, a small Catholic school that serves mainly low-income, African-American students. She told us that many school families, mostly single-parent and already struggling, had lost almost all of their possessions. Help with food, transportation and clothing costs was badly needed.

Brock and Molly posted a social media video asking friends and families to donate gift cards to Target, Walmart, gas stations and restaurants. We worked with friends to host a lemonade and cookie stand, too.

When all our donations were tallied, we shipped off a package of nearly $450 in gift cards to Redemptorist St. Gerard. It was an honor to help these families! This one was for you, Omar Ocasio-Capo, with our love.
