Food for Sharing
As a single gal living in Atlanta in the late 90's, I missed many things about Florida - sunshine, the beach, and seeing Publix on most any corner! I'd drive by three Krogers just to get to one of the few around Metro Atlanta at the time. And not just for the free cookie, the subs or the excellent service, but because Publix has a longstanding tradition of giving back. And that makes me smile while I indulged in a cookie!
It's many years later (ugh, so many), but I still love Publix! Here's another reason they're my favorite grocery store: Food for Sharing. Twice a year - in spring and fall - Publix offers customers the chance to select from three levels of food donations, which can easily be added to their order. In each community, Publix delivers the donations to local food banks to help feed families in need.
Molly pointed it out to me and suggested we give it a try today! Im so glad we did. It's easy and we got this free tote bag to remind us of the warm feelings kindness brings. Add one to your Publix order today!
